I discussed a review paper about antagonistic pleiotropy, introducing the theory, context, and how it fits into my research. This was then followed by a 30-40 minute discussion with researchers from a range of backgrounds, including medicine, sociology, and languages. Watch my talk here!

This seminar series is run by PhD researchers at the university in the environmental biology theme. I spoke about my PhD research, additionally in reference to the environment of my model organism (La Reunion Island).

EvoWorm 2020

June 24th -25th 2020, McMaster University (Canada), online

I gave a poster presentation of my planned PhD research to evolutionary biologists who use nematodes. Almost 200 people attended from all around the world, and it was great to see the diversity of research ongoing.

PG-LSS Virtual Poster Conference

BioRoom 2020

This innovative conference / seminar series was designed for the COVID-19 pandemic to allow biological scientists to continue to engage with research and network whilst working from home. BISC 2020*

I have been accepted to present my PhD research in regard to sustainable development. I will talk about how bettering our understanding of lifespan and healthspan, and why ageing occurs, will put us in a better position for advancing sustainably as human life expectancy continues to increase.
